The programs we have set in place not only advocate to find the best home and care for these animals, but we also offer training to the dogs, training for their prospective parents, training for current pet owners, veterinary care, and an overall understanding of what it means to become a pet parent. Petable has found that this course of intensive care can serve as a powerful reinforcer of positive behavior and change the future of animal care.

Dogs given to animals shelters in the Southern California area have a 1 in 3 chance of getting out alive, as stated by Abby Sewell of the Los Angeles Times. She later goes on in her article to explain the deplorable living conditions that these animals face due to overcrowding and lack of care. Petable is a small shelter to hopefully begin a force of small and individualized shelters to keep this from continuing to happen. If the larger shelters weren’t so overrun, they would be able to better care for the animals entrusted to them. We hope to change this and make it a reality.​
